The PTO at Lakeside is completely committed to our children’s success. You can help with their success in many ways: please consider volunteering at Lakeside Elementary!
From classroom help, field trips, lunch duty, to Field Day, there are many opportunities waiting for you.
***It is mandatory for each volunteer to complete the a Criminal History Background Check before helping on campus.***
Coppell ISD has implemented an online program called Volunteer Today (VT) to process these background checks for campus volunteers. This new system eliminates the existing criminal history background consent paper form. In addition, it provides a secure environment to support the required steps for a volunteer to be approved, notified and added to the list of volunteers for multiple campuses. You will need to complete one application only!
After completion of the volunteer application, you will be required to log back into VT annually to update your profile and to sign up to volunteer for each new school year with the click of a button. (all names have been cleared from VT for 08-09).
To access the Volunteer Today online system, go to the Coppell ISD website. Click the Parent link on the left side of the home page and choose Volunteer Today from the drop-down list. Once the VT website appears, follow the directions to become a CISD volunteer. Until this process has been completed, you will not be able to volunteer on campus.
Also, an important note....completion of the Volunteer Today application does not register you with Lakeside’s PTO. We are also asking that all volunteers to register on our volunteer website: PTO Manager, to join the PTO. You will have to create a login with your email address and unique password.
