TEAM LAKESIDE – IN THE GAME FOR KIDS!!!
Lakeside PTO's 2010-2011 Write-A-Check Campaign is
September 20 – 24, 2010
Welcome to Lakeside Elementary School! Lakeside excels because of the tremendous support our children receive from Longhorn parents, staff, and faculty. We are excited to kick off our annual "WRITE-A-CHECK" fundraising campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to enrich the eductation our students receive at Lakeside. Some reasons the Write-a-Check fundraiser is so successful:
• No door-to-door selling
• 100% tax-deductible
• All money raised STAYS at Lakeside
Below, you will find many exciting reasons to be a proud participant in the 2010-2011 “WRITE-A-CHECK” campaign.
Please complete the red form sent home last week and return your donation to your child’s classroom teacher by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th.
***The class in each grade with the highest level of participation by Tuesday, September 21st will win an Cookie Cake Party!! At the end of the campaign, all participants will be entered into grade level drawings for really cool prizes!!!***
Note: You do not have to make a contribution to participate but you do need to return the form.
Double your Donation through Employer Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees. Examples of some companies that have matched donations in the past are: Citi, Exxon, Fidelity, Frito Lay, Freddie Mac, Verizon, IBM, Metropolitan Life, Microsoft, Mobile Oil, Nokia, PepsiCo, Southwestern Bell, Tenet Healthcare and Wells Fargo. Please check with your company’s Human Resources Department for matching fund opportunities.

The following are ways your generous contributions to the PTO WRITE-A-CHECK campaign benefited our students at Lakeside last year:
• Field Trips for every grade level
• Technology Matching Funds: Includes projects, Smartboards, iMac laptaps, voice recorders, iPod car & iPods, and digital streaming throughout the building for 'Lakeside Live.'
• Programs
• Longhorn Publishing
• Staff Development
Our goal is to match last year's amount. This cannot happen without your support. Let's be in the game for your kids -- Write a check for Lakeside!
